Bringing Baby Home

Professionals helping new parents with the transition to parenthood

The Bringing Baby Home (BBH) workshop is a research-based and research-tested psychoeducational workshop that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for babies and children by strengthening their families. Developed by renowned relationship and parenting
experts , Drs. John and Julie Gottman , the BBH program is perfect for those who are:

  • Interested in having a baby
  • Expecting a baby
  • Already parenting an infant or toddler (age 0-3)

The goal of BBH is to equip you with the knowledge and skill sets needed to constructively cope with the various changes that typically occur during the first three years after your baby is born.

Bridges

Young Adults’ Group

This group has been created to help young adults practice skills learned in individual therapy, in a safely monitored group setting. The concept of the group is that peers are able to build bridges with each other for help and support, to avoid feeling isolated. This group is targeted for young adults from 16 to 19 years old, with a maximum of 8 clients per group.

The topics discussed in this interactive group include understanding bullying, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, and enhancing social interactions. The group is once a week for ten weeks and lasts an hour and a half. To help work on these skills, the group will consist of arts and crafts, interactive activities, group discussion, and more. Positive Energy & Empowering Relationships (PEERS)

Social Skills Group

This social skills group has been created to help children practice skills learned in individual therapy, in a safely monitored group setting. This group is targeted for kids from 3rd to 5th grade, with a maximum of 8 kids per group.

The skills targeted in this interactive group include anger management, teambuilding, social skills, self-esteem, and more. This group is once a week after school, for eight weeks. Each session lasts an hour and a half, and includes group discussion, interactive games, and arts and crafts. Contact our front office for an information packet for more details.
