Samantha is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Addictions Counselor in the state of South Carolina. She holds a BA in Psychology from Columbia College and a MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College. She has extensive training in Motivational Interviewing (MI) and continues to use a scope of therapeutic approaches, such as Structural Family Therapy (SFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Samantha has been a counselor since 2008, working with children, families, couples, and individuals with various psychiatric and/or substance use issues. She has worked within the home settings, Community Mental Health Centers, Greenville County Schools, Greenville Health Systems, Private Substance Use Treatment Centers, and Psychiatric Hospitals. Samantha likes to accompany alongside her clients on their journey through life and serves as a compass to help clients determine the best route for them by building her clients autonomy and allowing them to be the experts in their life situations.
