Heather Younts

Heather YountsHeather Younts, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor that often uses a cognitive-behavioral approach in her sessions, but incorporates other treatment modalities to best suit each client's individual needs. She is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy that is designed to help ages 6-18 who have experienced traumatic and upsetting life events. 

Ms. Younts has extensive experience treating children, adolescents, young adults, and families. Her areas of special focus include helping those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, Attention-Deficit, and other issues related to phase of life, adjustment, relational, academic, and other life stressors. 

Ms. Younts is bilingual and enjoys providing services to Spanish speaking families. She has experience assisting individuals and families dealing with transitional and adjustment issues related to acculturation, abuse and trauma.

Ms. Younts holds a B.A. in Psychology and Spanish from Erskine College and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Columbia International University.
